Just bought my InstaPot today 🙂 Needed a second crock pot so I decided to bite the bullet and go all the way with an InstaPot. I wanted to make Butternut Squash soup, so I found several videos and watched them. I like the way I used one pot for everything. It took longer the first time then it will the second time. I got the Duo Crisp and Air Fryer combination 6 qt. Then stopped at another store and got the crock pot lid and egg rack thingy for hard boiled eggs. Next week will be an InstaPot week. I’ve been kid sitting for virtual school with 2 different lunch schedules. I’m hoping this helps out on days they want french fries and chicken nuggets. Thanks for all the information you have on your website.

Thanks for the info- VERY HELPFUL to me- but I’m still hesitant…. have to lose the fear.
I have memories of the OLD pressure cooker .
Thanks so much.

Hi Lisa,
Thanks so much for the Instant Pot tutorial. I just finished watching all three videos. They were wonderful. I have an 8 qt. Instant Pot Viva that I have not used once. I think I’ve had it close to a year now. I look at the instruction manual and shake my head. I don’t know where to begin. After watching your videos I am excited to give it a whirl. I’m so encouraged. I’ve printed several recipes and I’ve ordered my accessories. As far as I can tell I think the Viva is similar to the Max. It has lots of bells and whistles anyway. More than I will probably use. I know it has the pressure cooking function. Thanks again for the encouragement and I love your blog page. I’ve enjoyed looking around at the other areas. God Bless you and your family.

HELP! I am a newbie. I watched all your videos and learned alot! I have had sucess for the most part. I’m now making the easiest thing and I keep getting the BURN notice. 🙁 Simply making chicken broth. I cooked down 2 chickens today with no problem. I’ve checked the seal, pressure button. But I’ve tried twice and it goes for a while, but never pressureizes. When I open the pot, the mixture is very hot and has been boiling. Any suggestions at all??

Hard to say for sure, but I would try placing the chicken on the trivet to keep it off the bottom of the pot if it is having a difficult time coming to pressure. And of course, make sure you have enough liquid.

I really loved the last teaching video.. The tips were very useful, and please post a “tips for pasta” page to print! TY. The information about the accessories was very helpful, also. Be blessed.
