No, really. I don’t usually get excited about peanut butter, but this quick little recipe for smooth and creamy peanut butter is worth getting excited about.
True, you can make peanut butter with just peanuts. But adding honey for a touch of sweetness and olive oil for added creaminess makes this the perfect creamy peanut butter.
I use my Vitamix to blend everything together. You could also use a food processor.
Aldi is my favorite place for peanuts. I get the lightly salted peanuts with the blue lid. If you are using unsalted peanuts, you will want to add a little salt to your peanut butter for better flavor.

Perfect Homemade Creamy Peanut Butter

Description
Smooth and creamy and oh-so-DELICIOUS peanut butter. This homemade peanut butter is very easy to make and is so much tastier than store-bought versions!
Ingredients
- 1/3 C olive oil
- 1/4 C honey
- 3 C lightly salted peanuts
Instructions
- Pour in the oil and honey into a high powered blender or food processor. Add the peanuts on top*.
- Blend the mixture on high speed until creamy, adding additional oil a tablespoon at a time as needed to achieve desired consistency.
- Transfer to a jar and enjoy!
Notes
*Adding the liquid ingredients first is important to help the peanuts blend easily.
You can substitute the olive oil for a different oil of your choice, however it will affect the flavor slightly.
Store the peanut butter for one week at room temperature or if it’s not eaten by then, you can refrigerate it for several weeks.
