I still consider myself a newbie when it comes to natural remedies, but more and more we are reaching for a natural solution for aches, pains, and discomforts.
We have found an oil company that we like and are slowly growing our stash of essential oils and other home remedy needs.
And what I’ve found is this: It is simple. It is easy. It really does work.
I carry homemade hand sanitizer in my purse (for the times I remember to use it), along with a roll-on tube of “owie” blend for cuts and blisters and other childhood calamities. Our jar of “after the sun” oil blend is conveniently kept on the kitchen window sill for post-pool application. And almost every night, this spray-on remedy is helping to ease my aching and often restless legs (a pregnancy must for me) before bed.
This summer, as we are trying to make it a goal to spend lots of time outdoors, we’ve also had increased need for bug sprays and sunscreen, relief for itchy skin, and help soothing sore muscles.
With few exceptions, there has been an effective natural remedy to use for every need before, during, and after our outdoor summer fun.
Today I’m sharing a list of twenty home remedies over at Day 2 Day Joys. You can find easy-to-make remedies for sun protection and sunburn relief, bug and tick repellants, itch relief, and relief from general aches and pains.
Check it out and find ways to keep having fun this summer without all the extra chemicals and unnecessary ingredients. Even just trying one new home remedy is a simple step you can take towards a healthier summer!
