I prepared for this post while my kids were napping yesterday afternoon. Which was fortunate because it was bad enough feeling exceptionally awkward by myself. If they were all there to witness my posing it would have added to my selfie shame.
I had a good reason for stacking books on my dining room table, setting the camera up in timer mode, and posing for pictures in front of our white dining room wall.
Today I’m sharing with you my best tips for building a thrifted, frugal wardrobe. Just this past weekend, I made a quick stop at Goodwill and found a few more items for my closet. (Okay, “quick” is relative. Especially for my people stuck waiting in parking lot prison).
Not to give the story away, I saved a bunch of money by checking at my favorite thrift store before buying a couple new items at my favorite retail store. You can find the whole story, as well as my tips for your own thrift store success on Day 2 Day Joys.
Also, despite my excitement for sharing tips on saving money on quality, stylish clothes, there really isn’t a chance of my becoming a fashion blogger. They can keep their posing and modeling and hip clothes. I’ll stick to random selfies with afternoon coffee and big bacon burgers.

Ha! That is so funny Lisa! I am planning to post about my Stitch Fix “fix” when I receive it, which will most likely involve selfies. I’m already thinking about the awkwardness of that! My motto… fake it till you make it! But I like your approach too… me honest and make it hilarious. 🙂

Love Goodwill! I find lots of the brands you mentioned at our local Goodwill, and I have so much fun telling my friends where I found the clothes.
