Enjoy this classic dessert without the processed sugar or the fuss of bothering with a flame! This maple-sweetened faux bananas foster is incredibly quick and easy to make!
How about an incredibly easy, naturally-sweetened, everyone-pleasing dessert to help us all get through the week???
On board? GOOD.
I have been making this faux bananas foster dessert for years. Did I mention it’s easy to make? It is also frugal and a wonderful way to fancy-fy a plain bowl of vanilla ice cream. This recipe is usually one I call upon when I want a quick dessert to share with friends, but don’t have the time or energy to do much more than heat together a sliced banana and some butter and syrup.
That is exactly what I did this past weekend when we had a friend crashing on our couch for a night.
P.S. Can I let you in on a way to make this dessert even more ahhhhmazing? Homemade.Ice.Cream. I don’t always make our own ice cream, but really, when it’s as simple as heating milk and sugar together and then refrigerating it for a few hours, I don’t have much reason not to (as long as I remember in time!). We have this ice cream maker. It’s super easy to use. I highly recommend it.
There honestly isn’t too much more to say about this recipe, because it really is that simple. So I’ll just say, you should make it. Soon.
I’ll also throw in a little nudge, nudge to remind you that practicing hospitality can be as stress-free and easy as you make it! No gourmet meals or desserts required. Just an open heart and a willingness to share. How about inviting some friends (or strangers) over for pizza, bananas foster, and a good conversation this month???
