This Instant pot pasta dish is even easier to make than box cheesy pasta! (And even tastier!)
I am slightly disappointed I am not posting pictures of my new kitchen this evening, but there is one more component to our remodel on its way, and I want to wait until it is installed before I take pictures.
I am totally in love with the transformation. We worked on the kitchen a ton over the last week, at times tiling or painting until after midnight.
As you can imagine, there was not a lot of space or time to prepare food while we were working on the remodel. Our cabinets were emptied out onto almost every available space. Whatever remaining space there was, held tools and materials and painting supplies.
So I was incredibly thankful that I could make simple meals in my Instant Pot, plugged in on the dining room floor!
One day for lunch I was able to easily make honey carrot soup for an outdoor picnic. And when I was seriously craving a snack after dinner one night, but didn’t have any other easy options, I came up with a quick and easy single serve garlic butter pasta.
The next day I made a small dish for a snack for my son. And since then my younger son has been begging me to make him some as well.
Hopefully I will have kitchen pictures to share by the end of the week. In the meantime, you can get a glimpse of the finished work by watching my Facebook Live cooking videos— tomorrow I’m showing you how to make chicken broth in the Instant Pot.

Do I double the water to 2 cups as well since it’s more pasta?
Yes, double the pasta, double the water.
This looks absolutely perfect and so much delicious… can’t wait to try it out
We love our pasta, spaghetti especially. Never tried the super greens one, but now you’ve tickled my curiosity. It looks great, easy and fast to make and so tasty to eat. Roasted garlic is such a great addition; we like to add it in our rustic mash.
This looks so easy and delicious? What times and portions would you recommend for making a family size pot of this?
The cooking time shouldn’t change if you increase the quantity. I would simply multiply the ingredients to make more. I also have a recipe for macaroni and cheese with bacon and peas that is family sized. 🙂
I just check the pasta pkg. for serving size. add as many servings I need to the pot then add equal amounts of water. There might be a little bit of water left in the pot. after the 5 minute release, I just added my cold homemade meatballs and sauce in the pot with the water remaining and pasta and saute function for 3 minutes & stir till all was warm through.
GREAT easy recipe……Thank you very much!
PS no measuring cup just take a container measure out the pasta then the same water then follow directions above PERFECT.
This looks really delicious and yummy!!!
