Description

Homemade ice cream has never been easier! Just pour four simple ingredients into a jar, refrigerate, and then churn. This vanilla maple ice cream is so good– perfect for eating on its own or for pairing with warm brownies, skillet cookies, or fresh apple pie!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a quart mason jar, then refrigerate for at least four hours.
  2. Pour the ice cream mix into the frozen canister of your ice cream maker and churn for 20-25 minutes until the ice cream comes together.
  3. Serve immediately if you prefer soft serve ice cream, or transfer to an ice cream container or dish and freeze until hard.

Notes

This mix can be made a day or two ahead and kept in the freezer until you’re ready.

You can add various add-ins while the ice cream churns (nuts, chocolate chips, marshmallows, etc).
