We made Valentine’s Day cards for our Wild & Free friends today. For the first time ever, we are participating in a snail mail card exchange and we’re so excited.
My kids love to draw and create, but keeping these cards SIMPLE was a huge priority because (1) toddlers, and (2) kids. I knew that we wanted to make our own cards, but I didn’t want them to have to write out the messages on each card so I created a free printable with several different options.
The kids used colored paper, stickers, crayons, and the printable cut outs to make a stack of fun cards for our friends.
So easy and perfect for their attention span and ages!
Free Valentine’s Day Printable for DIY Cards
I shared the kids making their cards on Instagram this morning, and wanted to make the printable available for anyone else looking for a simple, DIY card option.
The only thing I did to help the kids was cutting the paper and folding it into little cards, and then writing names for my 3-year-old to trace.
Our cards look very much handmade, but that’s part of the fun, right?!
Turn on some music or a favorite audiobook, print off a few copies of the printable, and have fun!
I’d love to see what your kids create, so don’t forget to tag me (@thispilgrimlife) on social media if you use the printable!
