Christmas week is finally here! Kids everywhere are rejoicing that it only takes one hand to count down to the big day! My kids are beside themselves with anticipation and I’m right there with them.
Our holiday month has already been really busy celebrating with friends, attending Christmas parties, and hosting family for an early Christmas. There was the Christmas dinner at church (which I missed thanks to an unfortunate accident). We had a fun gingerbread house party, a full weekend with my mom visiting from Florida, and this past weekend another dinner and gifts night with my sister-in-law’s family.
It’s been full to say the least. Which is why I’m ready to take this week to just slow down and make experiencing Christmas my top priority. More books, more baking, more hot chocolate, more reflecting. And a little time to finish a few Christmas projects for my kids.
I’m taking a little time off and intentionally spending time away from the blog and computer. It’s a needed rest. But, I also want to say thank you so much to you for joining me here. I have grown to love writing and sharing here more than I ever anticipated, and the community is just wonderful. It wouldn’t be the same without you and I look forward to a new year on the blog.
This week and next, even though I will not be as present here, I will certainly be thinking and planning for the new year. I have lists of new easy recipes to share, tutorials to write up, and more encouragement and lessons from daily life. I’d love to hear from you too. What posts did you really enjoy this year? What kinds of topics would you like to see more of next year? Please let me know in the comments!
So I’ll see you in the new year or on social media in the meantime (Instagram and Facebook are my favorites!).
Today is also our anatomy ultrasound for “new baby”, so after today we will hopefully have a name and an announcement soon to come!
Merry Christmas friends!
I hope your week and the rest of your year is restful, and full of love and grace.
